Tips and tricks to increase your redbubble sales in 2021

Tips and tricks to increase your Redbubble sales in 2021:

 1-patience:

It takes a lot of time to increase your sales especially if you've started your store recently. You're competing with over 700.000 artists. Now I'm not stating numbers to freak you out. I'm just saying that It takes patience, dedication, and a lot of work to increase your sales. And let me just be honest with you. It won't happen just overnight.

Now let's dig in more practical points:

 2-would you buy it?

Now, cuz this may confuse some people. Do I have to make designs around trends or around things that I'm really interested in?

The answer is simply: would you buy it?

whether It's a trend or something you are passionate about. You have to ask yourself this question. In my opinion, all the designs that I've sold so far weren't even trends. They were around hobbies and interests I'm passionate about. What I mean is it's good to go for trends but don't focus all your efforts on that area only, especially if it's too competitive.

3-Trends vs. evergreen designs

As I mention In the previous point you know now that I'm not a big fan of trends. Trends tend to disappear as time goes on and so your sales will decrease too until They disappear. Yes, I do have a few designs on trends when you visit my store but that was in the beginning. Plus too many trends that are not selling will make your profile looks outdated for buyers. That's why I prefer evergreen designs that sell the whole time of the year.

4-Diversity

Now when you start your Redbubble store, don't stick Into one style or one type of design. Try to have a variety of things. For example try texts, drawing, photography, patterns ....etc. The goal Is to see what sells the best for you on Redbubble. Then after knowing your own style you can stick into It. So pretty much the first months will be about experiments.

 5-Please no more backgrounds!

I’m saying this over and over again. Please export your final designs with a transparent background by enabling transparent background In whatever program you use for designing, Or exporting it as a png file. Unless your background is a part of the drawing itself, do not post It. It just won’t look professional for me as a buyer.

6-Enabling products(secret products)

Make sure to enable all products as much as you can. I know sometimes designs won’t fit. But try your best to make them fit. That’s why Redbubble recommends creating work at 7632*6480. It will fit pretty much to everything. Remember:(More items enabled= more chances to sell)

secret products:

Now you may already know them. But for me can you imagine that I didn’t know they do exist until someone alerts me to enable them. They are the kid’s clothes settings. Please make sure your designs are proper for kids’ clothes before enabling them. To enable them. Go to standard print clothing>>click the availability button >>enable kids clothes, toddler pullover hoodie, and kids pullover hoodie. And there you go.

7-Tags

This Is a very big topic I can’t just discuss it in a few points. but I’m going to tell you what worked for me :

1-Please use relevant tags. Tags that are related to your design. Redbubble can suspend your design from the sale not just for copyrights but also for violating tags.

2-don’t use copyrighted words, phrases, movie’s name, popular brand name …etc. They will take it down.

3-Too many tags will hurt your SEO ranking(search engine optimization). The preferable number for me Is between 15-20 tag.

4-Use a golden keyword tag. Now the golden keyword tag is the word that stands out from the rest. That could be your Redbubble store name or any word related to the design but Isn’t used too much by other artists on Redbubble. The key is to always appear on the first page of search results.

The golden keyword helps your buyers to find your products on Redbubble.

 8-Social media

We all know how powerful are social media platforms. Remember(more traffic = More potential buyers= more sales ). My tip for you is to post at least once a week one of your products or your work in progress on one of your social media platforms. Whether It is an Instagram account, Facebook page, Twitter, TikTok just go for It. you will notice the increase in your Redbubble traffics.

 9-Upload consistently

As for Redbubble: upload at least 1 design per month.

As for social media platforms: upload at least 1 post per week

Always remember consistency is the key. If you can upload more, that's awesome!!

I know you probably get bored reading my post but please bear with me a little.

10- Quality over Quantity

Quality always wins over quantity. But what they don't tell you is that quantity matters too!!

you have to be persistent and as I mentioned if you wanna really succeed in Redbubble you have to upload consistently, that way you will keep your store refreshed.

11-Bonus Tips

  • google-analytics: link your Redbubble store to google analytics. Google Analytics will give you a good review of your traffic, your costumers, what are the most visited pages on your Redbubble store, targeted countries much more.
  • Pinterest: This is my favorite one to get views and exposure. It’s really a powerful method to get more traffics. Just pin one of your products to your boards and that’s It. Now to be honest I’m not an expert in Pinterest but pins and boards worked just fine for me.

Finally, I want to add one thing: make sure that all your designs are originals. don’t use other’s designs. Do not steal that’s not ok! When you use a pic from an image stock, Make sure that they are free and for commercial use.
